Same place, different purpose...
While thinking how to show this issue in our museum, we thought there are some common points between the place, objects in the normal life of children and African children who mine diamonds.
Also, there are some connections between the objects in each place. For example, shovel could be used in the sandpit at the playground but also could be used in order to dig and find diamonds in African mine.
And we thought to make a contrast to reverse the first appearance in our museum could be an effective way to provoke the issue. For the first time, we will be intending to make a festive mood using balloons, sparkling objects when the visitors entered.
But when they look around and read the descriptions and see what exactly each object mean, they will be provoked about the blood diamond issue. So we thought it would be nice to make a space like a playground.
